| The League welcomes teams and individuals
of all ability levels. This Fall
we will field over 300 teams and 28 divisions. With this many
teams, no matter what level of player you are, we have a division
for you. No other league in the country offers so much competition
on so many different levels!
Teams are placed in divisions based on their past performance in the league. This, together with discussions with your team captain, insures
that your team is placed in a competitive division. | |
| The cost to play in the League
is only $1,195.00 per team and should be included with
your application. The cost for individuals joining without a
team is $119.50. Individuals must pay at the open scrimmage
to be placed on a team. Prices include t-shirts and all court
and referee fees. Checks should be made payable to the N.Y.
Urban Professionals Athletic League (NY Urban is fine).
Presently, we only have enough gym space for 300 teams. If
you¹re serious about playing, don¹t wait until the
last moment to send in your roster. We don¹t want to
turn your team away. | |
Each team will be provided with
10 League t-shirts at no extra cost. Team captains must
pick up their team¹s shirts from our office the first week
of the season.
Please note: Any group
entering a team with more than 10 players must pay an
additional $5.50 for each extra shirt it requires. |
| | The League
plays four seasons a year. The Spring season usually begins mid April, the Summer
season begins in June. Our Fall season starts in September, and our 12-game Winter
season, with over 300 teams, begins in December. | | | League rules
follow those of the NCAA and are distributed to the team captains at the start
of the season. |
